This video shows you how to get through the Minecraft end gateway portal to the outer end without using ender pearls.
All you need is a crafting table, 6 planks of wood, and access to the end. use the wood to make two trapdoors. place the trapdoors on the upper bedrock on the end gateway portal. open the trapdoor, step inside the trapdoor block, and close the trapdoor. finally, crawl through the end gateway portal.
Alternatively you can just use an elytra and some flying skills to fly right into the end gateway portal.
